Johnson C. Smith University’s “Forty Under 40” recognizes extraordinary alumni who are change agents in their communities, leaders in their professions and loyal supporters of the University.

This program seeks to highlight alumni, ages 40 or younger, who are blazing trails for others to follow.We sincerely hope that this initiative will spark unwavering University pride among this esteemed class and encourage others to make a commitment to the mission of Johnson C. Smith University.

Recipients of the “Forty Under 40” Award demonstrates the long-lasting impact that Johnson C. Smith University has had in their everyday lives.

Make a nomination

Forty Under 40 Selection Criteria:

  • Earned an undergraduate or graduate degree from Johnson C. Smith University.
  • Nominee must be age 40 or younger by July 1.
  • Nominee must commit to becoming a financial member of the National Alumni Association by July 1. NAA dues are $25.
  • Nominee must uphold the 皇冠体育 core values: able to think critically, communicate effectively, demonstrate competencein their chosen field, have a sense of social/civic responsibility, commitment to service and have a history of giving to 皇冠体育.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to maintaining a lifelong relationship with Johnson C. Smith University by giving of their time, talents andmaking an annual financialcontribution.
